Is this really them?

No. It's an AI version of them, built only from what they chose to share — not a recording, and not the person themselves. Every answer is labelled Known, Inferred or Unknown, so you always know whether it's something they actually said or the AI's best guess.

Can I trust the answers?

Known answers come straight from their memories and words. Inferred ones are reasoned from their views but flagged as such. If it can't know, it says so instead of inventing.

What does it know about the person?

Only what they added: interview answers, memories, opinions and documents they uploaded. Nothing is scraped from the web or taken from other people.

Who controls the AI?

The person it represents — or an authorised owner. They can edit memories, amend any reply, set privacy, and take it offline at any time.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. Documents, photos, memories and interview answers are kept private, stored under your account and used only to answer questions on your own AI. They are never sold. Each visitor's conversation is private to them, and memories marked private stay out of replies. Full detail is on the privacy and data page.

What happens after someone passes away?

Legacy Mode lets the AI keep answering once an authorised owner verifies and enables it — the system never decides this on its own.

Can it speak or appear on video?

Replies can be read aloud, and on the Voice plan they can be spoken in the person's own cloned voice. Talking video is coming soon.

How do I make my own?

Sign up, answer the guided interview, add documents and photos whenever you like, then publish your link. There's no schedule to keep: come back any time and the interview carries on from where you stopped.

What can I add over time?

Accepted Answer

Anything about a life: memories, diary entries, opinions, photos and documents about yourself. The AI draws on all of it — so anyone you share your link with can ask a question and get an answer in your voice.

Who is this for — and who isn't it for?

Accepted Answer

It's for adults who want their family to be able to ask them things after they're gone, and for the adult children who want to ask. It isn't for you if you want an AI of someone who hasn't agreed to it, or if you're looking for grief counselling. You need to be 18 or over to create one.
